FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are your prices?

Generally my charge is £150 an hour. Family & newborn shoots are £150. For Weddings please email me so that I can send you my packages which start from £600.

How does payment work?

To secure your day, a 25% booking fee is due. The rest is payable 2 months before the booking date.

What is your turn around time for photo edits?

This depends on the time of the year but generally for a standard photo shoot it is 2 weeks, and for a wedding it is 8 -10 weeks. Summer is my busiest time so weddings could take slightly longer during this time.

Do you have insurance?

Yes I am fully insured with public liability, and professional indemnity insurance.

Can you send us some sneak peaks after the shoot/ wedding?

Absolutely! For weddings I aim to send at least 10 sneak peeks the next day (or day after if I have back to back weddings) so that you have something to share with your family and friends straight away.

Can we have a second shooter?

Yes a second shooter can be added to all packages, just drop me an email for a bespoke quote. I always use someone who shoots in a similar style to me, but all the photos will still be edited by me in my signature style.

Do you charge for travel?

If you are based in Staffordshire/ Derbyshire/ Cheshire then travel is included in the price. If you are further than this then travel and accommodation may be required.

Can we meet before we book you?

I am happy to jump on a teams call prior to a booking, once I have been booked for a wedding I am happy to meet in person to discuss your big day.

Should we back up our images?

Definitely! The moment you receive your images you should back them up immediately. I will also have a back up of all wedding photos but these should not be relied on for years to come as your back up. Anything can happen and it is always better to be safe than sorry! I would leave two copies in completely separate places - for example one at a parents house - in case there is a fire. You could also back up online via a cloud service for extra protection.

Do you visit our wedding venue before the big day?

If I have not shot at your wedding venue previously, then I am likely to visit the venue before hand to check it out. I will also thoroughly research the venue, and ask my photography friends for any hints and tips if they’ve shot there before. If the venue is slightly further away, then I will arrive early to scope the place out before I begin taking photos of your big day.

How can we prepare for rain?

Even if you book a wedding in the summer months, you should always have a back up plan for rain seeing as we live in the UK. I will keep an eye on the weather report leading up to the day, and if bad weather is forecast we will have an additional phone call to discuss our options. Normally there is a break in the rain at some point, and I will be keeping my eye on the weather and ready to pull you outside to take those stunning portrait photos. Invest in a couple of good quality clear umbrellas to avoid them casting a shadow on your face, and for a aesthetically pleasing look in photos. I will work around the rain and move things around if needs to be to get those photos for you!
